Last Light on the Coast

Original painting by Victoria Barnhill, painted in October of 2025. Acrylic on canvas painted in many layers using a palette knife and multiple paint brushes. The painting is inspired to represent the beauty of the tropical coast. The vibrant sunset sets the water on fire as the palms sway in the wind. With this piece I wanted to capture the feeling of that sunset - you know the one. The sunset you can't take your eyes off until the colors disappear. Sunsets over a rugged coastline are one of the most beautiful things to see, and I was happy to capture this fleeting moment on a canvas.
