Blue Ridge Overlook

Original painting by Victoria Barnhill, painted in March of 2025. Acrylic on canvas painted in many layers using a palette knife and multiple paint brushes. The painting is inspired to represent the beauty of the iconic Appalachian Mountains. Blue ridges stretch across the horizon as far as the eye can see with no ending in sight. Beautiful large magenta rhododendron blooms and a warm summer sunset adds so much color to the cool tone ridge landscape. The remaining sunlight sparkles through the tree branch canopy above. Also featured is the beautiful rock formations often found in this region. This mountain rangeis truly one of the most beautiful places in our country.
